Senior Staff Carpenter – Residential Remodeling
Not every great carpenter wants to run the job.
Some enjoy managing schedules, coordinating subcontractors, meeting with clients, and handling the endless details that come with leading a project. Others simply love the craft itself.
If you're the kind of carpenter who takes pride in solving difficult problems, producing outstanding work, and helping the people around you become better carpenters—but have no desire to manage projects—we created this position for you.
At Out of the Woods Construction & Cabinetry, we're looking for a Senior Staff Carpenter to become a cornerstone of our field team.
This isn't a stepping-stone position. It's a career opportunity for an experienced craftsman who wants to spend their days building exceptional work while helping elevate the next generation of carpenters.
Why We Created This Position
Our Lead Carpenters are exceptional craftsmen who also carry the responsibility of leading each project—from client communication and scheduling to coordinating subcontractors, maintaining quality, and keeping every moving part on track.
That's a big responsibility.
We created the Senior Staff Carpenter position to provide our Lead Carpenters with another experienced craftsman they can rely on—someone who can step into the toughest parts of a project, solve complex field challenges, mentor less experienced carpenters, and help maintain the level of craftsmanship Out of the Woods is known for.
We're looking for the kind of carpenter every Lead Carpenter hopes gets assigned to their project.
The kind of person the crew turns to when they're unsure how to approach a difficult detail.
The kind of craftsman who quietly raises the standard of every jobsite they step onto.
