Job Title: Caregiver
Duties:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals in a residential setting
- Assist with personal hygiene tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Administer medication according to prescribed schedules and document accurately
- Monitor and document changes in behavior or health status of individuals
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions and reduce challenging behaviors
- Ensure compliance with resident rights and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding as needed
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working with elderly individuals
- One year minimum Caregiver experience
-Must have experience using a gaitbelt for transfers
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality
- First aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain
- Must be able to pass background screening
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Compassionate, patient, and understanding demeanor
