Sentry Services and Supports is seeking dependable and compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and communities. DSPs help individuals increase independence, develop daily living skills, participate in their communities, and work toward goals outlined in their Individual Support Plans (ISPs).
Job Duties
- Assist with daily and independent living skills
- Support socialization and community participation
- Assist with shopping, budgeting, meal preparation, and household tasks
- Provide transportation to activities and appointments
- Promote independence, choice, safety, and dignity
- Follow ISP goals and individualized support needs
- Complete accurate service notes and required documentation
- Maintain professional communication with individuals, families, and team members
Qualifications
- Dependable, patient, and professional
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass required background checks and clearances
- Ability to complete required training and documentation
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred but not required
Schedule & Benefits
- Minimum of 10 hours per week required
- Flexible scheduling with additional hours available
- Pay increase after successful 6-month evaluation
- Paid training
- Mileage reimbursement when applicable
