Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. REQUIRED to have 5+ years of experience in the field. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of HVAC systems across commercial and residential properties. Your mechanical expertise and proactive service approach will ensure optimal indoor climate control, energy efficiency, and system longevity. Duties
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, technical manuals, and HVAC design documents to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend system lifespan.
- Conduct plumbing and refrigeration repairs as needed to support HVAC operations.
- Utilize specialized tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing and welding equipment for system repairs or modifications.
- Diagnose complex mechanical problems involving ammonia refrigeration systems or HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration) units.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete shift reports, and document all repairs using established procedures.
- Operate a driver vehicle safely to transport tools, parts, or equipment between job sites.
- Collaborate with property maintenance teams to ensure all systems meet safety standards and regulatory compliance.
- Engage in field service activities that require quick thinking, adaptability, and excellent customer communication skills.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in HVAC installation, repair, and maintenance.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical drawings related to HVAC design and system layouts.
- Experience with refrigeration systems including is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of plumbing systems relevant to HVAC applications.
- Familiarity with appliance repair techniques for various heating or cooling units.
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and other electrical testing devices accurately.
- Brazing skills for system fabrication or repair tasks are a plus.
- Experience working in construction environments or property maintenance settings is advantageous.
- Mechanical experience with boilers or other large-scale heating equipment preferred.
- Valid FL driver’s license with a clean driving record for safe transportation between sites. Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 60 per week
