Experienced Automotive Technician / Diagnostic Mechanic

Privately owned mechanic shop is hiring an experienced Automotive Technician /
Diagnostic Mechanic to join our growing team.
We are rebuilding and strengthening our shop with a fresh start and looking for someone who wants to grow with us long-term. This is a hands-on shop environment where you will work on dealership inventory, performing inspections, diagnostics, and repairs to prepare vehicles for sale.
This is not a corporate dealership environment. We offer a steady workflow, a team-oriented atmosphere, and the opportunity to be part of building strong systems from the ground up.
Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough vehicle inspections and document findings
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
- Timing chains and timing belts
- Water pump replacements
- Suspension and steering repairs
- Brake jobs and preventative maintenance
- Oil changes and basic maintenance
- Cooling system repairs
- Engine diagnostics and repairs
- Electrical troubleshooting
- CV axles and drivetrain repairs
- General repair and troubleshooting
- Maintain organization and workflow on assigned jobs
- Communicate clearly with management and team members
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on automotive repair experience preferred
- Must have your own tools
- Strong diagnostic ability
- Ability to work independently and stay on task
- Comfortable with technology, scan tools, and digital workflow
- Able to thoroughly inspect vehicles and properly identify repair needs
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Reliable transportation

Preferred Experience:
- Engine replacements
- Transmission replacements
- Advanced electrical diagnostics
- Timing work
- Suspension systems
- European vehicle experience (plus)
