New City Ministries Fellowship Church – Chesapeake, VA
New City Ministries Fellowship Church is seeking a highly skilled, motivated, and faithful Christian Keyboardist to join our Worship Ministry. We are looking for someone who is musically excellent, spiritually grounded, and committed to serving God with consistency and integrity.
This position plays a key role in leading our congregation into powerful, Spirit‑filled worship each week. The ideal candidate is dependable, collaborative, and able to blend well with our Praise Team, one additional keyboardist, and our drummer.
Position Details
Schedule Requirements
- Thursday Rehearsal: 5:45 PM – 7:15 PM
- Sunday Worship Service: 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM
Compensation
- $150.00 per Sunday, paid by check immediately after service
Responsibilities
- Provide high‑quality keyboard accompaniment during Sunday worship services.
- Attend and participate in weekly Thursday evening rehearsals.
- Work collaboratively with the Praise Team, fellow keyboardist, and drummer to create cohesive worship arrangements.
- Demonstrate strong musical versatility, including playing by ear, following chord charts, and adapting to spontaneous worship moments.
- Maintain a positive, team‑focused attitude and contribute to a spiritually uplifting worship environment.
- Arrive prepared, punctual, and ready to serve with excellence.
Requirements
- Must be a Christian with a lifestyle that reflects faithfulness, integrity, and commitment to ministry.
- Must be reliable and able to meet weekly rehearsal and service obligations.
- Must have personal transportation.
- Strong keyboard proficiency and ability to blend well with other musicians.
- Ability to follow musical direction and work collaboratively within a worship team.
- Consistent professionalism, punctuality, and readiness to serve.
Pay: From $150.00 per day
