As a Licensed Psychologist Manager, Corrections with the Department of Corrections, you will play a key role in shaping mental health services for inmates at the State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Somerset. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
This position manages psychological services in a correctional setting and supports programs that guide inmate treatment and evaluation. The work includes supervising staff, overseeing clinical standards, and contributing to treatment decisions and program development. As a Licensed Psychologist Manager, Corrections, you will perform the following duties:

Staff Leadership: Supervise psychological staff and oversee screenings, evaluations, and therapeutic services

Program Management: Develop and guide psychological services programs and integrate new policies and procedures

Committee Oversight: Lead key clinical committees and participate in reviews related to mental health and crisis management

Clinical Evaluation: Review diagnostic tests and prepare or evaluate psychological reports and treatment documentation

Consultation Support: Provide guidance to staff working with special needs units, behavioral management programs, and inmate care issues

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week

Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.
