Vice President, Operations
The Vice President, Operations provides strategic and tactical leadership for a multi-site, multi-state region, with full accountability for the region’s financial performance, practice efficiency initiatives, and growth strategies. This role owns full P&L accountability for the region and leads a team of Directors of Operations to deliver safe, efficient, and ethical dental care across all practices in the region. The Vice President also serves as a key strategic partner with Clinical Leadership, developing competitive strategies in alignment with Benevis’ mission and values.
Responsibilities:
- Set and lead the execution of the region’s growth strategy, guiding and holding Directors of Operations accountable for growth initiatives.
- Serve as a strategic business partner to the Chief Operating Officer, shaping regional strategy and operational decisions in alignment with company goals and mission.
- Partner with Clinical Leadership to own the region’s doctor recruitment and retention strategy, partnering with talent acquisition and clinical leadership to build and sustain a strong, stable provider pipeline.
- Own team member performance for the region, coaching and developing the Directors of Operations team, fostering a high-performance culture, and addressing underperformance with action plans.
- Maintain full P&L accountability for the region, overseeing a multi-site budget in excess of $100M, monitoring revenue and EBITDA performance, and driving cost-efficiency initiatives across all Directors of Operations to meet or exceed financial targets.
- Sponsor and oversee the execution of clinical initiatives across the region, partnering with clinical leadership and Support Center teams to ensure consistent, high-quality patient care.
- Ensure operational effectiveness of scheduling and practice-level productivity across the region, holding Directors of Operations accountable for consistent execution.
- Oversee regional marketing strategy and patient review/online reputation management to strengthen brand presence and drive new patient growth across the region.
- Ensure region-wide compliance by holding Directors of Operations and their teams to the highest standards of integrity and adherence to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including ADA standards and insurance compliance, as well as company standards and compliance programs.
- Establish and monitor regional KPIs for clinical quality, patient satisfaction, and financial performance, using data insights to guide improvement plans across the region.
- Lead with company values, modeling and reinforcing them across the region’s leadership team and in day-to-day operations.

Education/Experience
- BA or BS degree is required, Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
- A minimum of 10+ years of leadership experience in a multi-state, multi-site, organization.
- Dental experience is required.
- Demonstrated experience spending significant time in the field to remain connected to the business to better lead, grow, motivate and strategize.
- Proven track record leading operations through a turnaround with successful change management.
- Demonstrated financial acumen, strong business judgement and decision-making skills; ability to identify trends, prioritize, and articulate initiatives.
- Possess a broad knowledge of the business functions needed to support a growing, multi-site/multi-state healthcare services business.
- Ability to quickly establish credible relationships with key stakeholders across the organization.
- Skilled in exercising a high degree of initiative, judgement, discretion and decision-making to execute and achieve organizational growth.
