Position Overview:
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is responsible for providing high-quality, critical care to patients dealing with severe and life-threatening conditions. The RN will assess patient conditions, administer medications, and coordinate care with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This role requires advanced clinical skills, quick decision-making, and the ability to remain calm in high-stress situations.

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,000 (including stipend)
Key Responsibilities:-
Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical and emotional health.

Administer prescribed medications and intravenous therapies, monitoring patient responses.

Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans for critically ill patients.

Continuously monitor vital signs and perform necessary interventions for life support.

Document all nursing assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly.

Provide education and support to patients and their families about care plans and treatment processes.

Participate actively in unit meetings and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate’s Degree considered with appropriate experience.

A minimum of 2 years of experience in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is preferred.

Current certifications in BLS and ACLS are mandatory; additional certifications such as CCRN may be beneficial.

Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to work under pressure and make effective decisions.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

Ability to adapt to changing work environments and handle multiple priorities effectively.
