We’re looking for a dedicated Line Cook to join our team at our cafe and bistro in San Jose! If you have a passion for crafting high-quality dishes in a fast-paced kitchen environment, we’d love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing and cooking a variety of pastries, sandwiches, high tea selections, and bistro-style dishes using fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
- Follow recipes and maintain consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation.
- Work multiple stations efficiently during busy service hours and during catering while ensuring cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
- Maintain proper food handling, storage, and safety standards.
- Assist with inventory management and restocking as needed.
- Support the head chef and team with various kitchen tasks.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a line cook, prep cook, or in a similar role in a cafe, bistro, or bakery setting.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- A passion for food, creativity, and learning new techniques.
- Ability to follow instructions and execute dishes with precision.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Internship, Apprenticeship
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
