Overview
We are seeking skilled and motivated Carpenters to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing a wide range of carpentry tasks on residential and commercial projects, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise will help bring construction plans to life, from framing and trim work to remodeling and restoration projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that challenge your skills and expand your experience in the carpentry industry.
Responsibilities
- Interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute carpentry tasks.
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install wood and other construction materials using hand tools and power tools for woodworking.
- Perform framing, siding, roofing, door hanging, cabinet installation, and fixture installation with precision.
- Operate woodworking machines safely to fabricate custom components for various projects.
- Conduct concrete forming, rebar installation, masonry work, and plastering as required for specific projects.
- Assist in restoration efforts including water damage remediation, stucco application, mold remediation, and structural repairs.
- Ensure power tool safety protocols are followed at all times while handling power tools for woodworking and heavy lifting tasks.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction or carpentry with a strong understanding of residential carpentry techniques.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings or schematics.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools for woodworking, metal stud framing tools, CNC machinery, and woodworking machines.
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes and ability to read construction plans accurately.
- Experience with various construction materials including wood construction materials, siding, drywall (plastering), flooring (tile laying), and roofing materials.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work effectively on construction sites with diverse conditions.
- Familiarity with safety standards such as power tool safety protocols and general site safety procedures.
- Additional skills such as plumbing, electrical experience, masonry, fabrication, or remodeling are a plus but not mandatory.
