Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using advanced automotive electrical systems, schematics, and diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately across various vehicle models, including GM vehicles and diesel engines.
- Execute complex repairs on powertrain components, transmissions, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), and other critical systems with precision and efficiency.
- Conduct vehicle maintenance services such as oil changes, brake repairs, wheel alignments, and suspension work to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive repair tools to complete repairs adhering to safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service bulletins to troubleshoot electrical systems, engine management systems, and other electronic components effectively.
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs clearly, estimating costs accurately with auto estimating software, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the service process.
- Lead by example in maintaining a clean and organized workspace while adhering to all safety protocols during repairs and inspections.
Skills
- Proven dealership experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and repair procedures.
- Extensive knowledge of automotive electrical systems, schematics, ADAS technology, powertrain components, transmissions, and diesel engine repair.
- Skilled in using diagnostic software tools and interpreting technical diagrams for efficient troubleshooting.
- Mechanical expertise with hands-on experience in vehicle maintenance, alignment procedures, welding techniques, and the use of hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals and service bulletins to stay current with industry standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills combined with strong mechanical knowledge to resolve complex vehicle issues swiftly.
- Customer service experience with a focus on clear communication and professional interaction with clients.
