Position Summary:
The Healthcare Reporting Analyst transforms complex healthcare data into actionable insights through the timely and accurate delivery of operational, client, executive, and compliance reporting. This role partners with business, clinical, operational, and technology teams to ensure data integrity, reporting accuracy, and adherence to reporting deadlines while supporting informed decision-making and regulatory requirements.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Collect, analyze, validate, and interpret healthcare data to produce reports, dashboards, and actionable insights.
- Deliver recurring operational, client, executive, and compliance reports accurately and on schedule.
- Lead data quality and validation efforts to identify, investigate, and resolve data integrity issues.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, scorecards, KPIs, and visualizations using Power BI and other business intelligence tools.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of regulatory, contractual, audit, and compliance reporting.
- Utilize SQL, Databricks, and Python to analyze data, automate reporting processes, and improve reporting efficiency.
- Translate complex healthcare, financial, clinical, and operational data into clear insights and recommendations.
- Conduct business and impact analyses to support operational, clinical, and system changes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve reporting processes, data flows, and business outcomes.
- Maintain reporting documentation, data definitions, and governance standards.
- Support ad hoc analysis, special projects, and other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience and Licensure:
Required Experience & Knowledge
- Experience in healthcare reporting, analytics, or operational performance measurement.
- Strong understanding of healthcare data, including claims, coding, providers, eligibility, utilization, clinical, and financial data.
- Experience producing recurring operational, client-facing, executive, and compliance reporting.
- Proficiency in SQL and relational databases with the ability to analyze large datasets.
- Experience identifying and resolving data quality issues through root-cause analysis.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to reporting accuracy.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare Analytics, Health Information Management, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in healthcare analytics, reporting, business analysis, managed care, health insurance, or a related healthcare environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong SQL development and data modeling skills
- Proficiency with Power BI or Tableau
- Experience with Python for report automation
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Knowledge of healthcare quality measures, regulatory reporting, and compliance requirements.
