Duties
- Warmly greet guests upon arrival with a friendly smile and positive attitude, making them feel instantly welcome.
- Manage reservation bookings efficiently using Open Table and TOAST POS
- Maintain wait lists during busy hours, providing accurate wait time estimates and updates to guests.
- Escort guests to their tables, ensuring they are comfortable and informed about menu specials or restaurant amenities.
- Answer incoming phone calls with professionalism, providing information about wait times or reservation availability while demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and service staff to ensure timely seating and smooth transitions between dining parties.
- Handle guest inquiries or concerns promptly, demonstrating exceptional guest relations skills to resolve issues effectively.
- Keep the host stand area organized, clean, and welcoming at all times, reflecting our commitment to hospitality excellence.
- Support team members during peak hours by assisting with basic food service or guest assistance when needed.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Host or in a similar customer-facing role within restaurants or hospitality environments.
- Strong food service knowledge and familiarity with restaurant operations enhance your ability to serve guests effectively.
- Excellent communication skills—both verbal and non-verbal—are essential for engaging with diverse guests confidently.
- Experience using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is preferred; familiarity with hotel guest services is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding guest services, ensuring each visitor feels valued and appreciated.
- Knowledge of restaurant protocols including serving etiquette, reservation management, and guest relations strategies.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Professional phone etiquette skills for managing reservations and guest inquiries courteously and clearly.
