Job Summary:
JBC Utility provides telecom construction services, and we are looking for an experienced Lineman for Fiber Optic installation to join our team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Installing, maintaining, operating, and repairing overhead cable TV and fiber-optic communication lines.
- Position requires operation of a Bucket truck following all safety and traffic regulations.
- Install pole framing and placement of stand.
- Climbing poles is required.
- Must operate hand and power tools of all types.
- Installation of guys and anchor.
- All the while ensuring all installation work is done according to quality standards.
- Work independently as well as collaborate with other team members.
- Ability to consistently produce large volumes of work with accuracy.
- All daily related paperwork
- Maintaining the truck, stocking, cleaning
- Overseeing the safety of anyone operating in or around the job site
- Maintaining a safe work environment
- Follow all customer requirements while working on any customer networks.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Must have 2-3 years experience required
- Valid drivers license
- Pass background check; no DUIs or felonies
- Ability to obtain DOT physical.
- Should have a good driving record.
- Knowledge of safe operation of bucket trucks
- Willing to work overtime, nights, and weekends
- Travel is required.
- Willing to work in inclement weather
- Must not be averse to heights
