SUMMARY:
Responsible for managing the day to day operation of all building infrastructure to include maintenance, repairs and all minor improvement projects in the center. Responsible for managing and coordinating activities of the Maintenance department. 24-hour on-call responsibility.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee building maintenance, while effectively communicating any needs/situations to the Director of Facilities.

Provide direct supervision to the maintenance team. Responsible for e-time and scheduling, and for responding to and resolving employee issues.

Ensure accuracy in reporting of employee hours worked; schedule vacations and paid time off; ensure the facility has adequate staff coverage in maintaining the centers integrity. Assist the staff in any job related issues they may have, and coaches, counsels and initiates effective disciplinary action, as needed.

Ensure OSHA compliance, emergency preparedness, and compliance with various health and safety entities; work closely with the Director of Facilities regarding proposals, purchases and invoicing

Attend meetings as required.

Ensure everything is in working order and all work assignments are completed in an efficient and cost-effective manner.

Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Directly supervises 2 employees within the Maintenance Department.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-
Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in maintenance supervision and at least one (1) year managing and tracking a budget. Four (4) years’ experience may substitute for the education requirement.

Bachelor’s degree in related field; or equivalent experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
-
Knowledge of OSHA regulations, maintenance contracts, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and machine/equipment repair.

Knowledge of computer, Outlook, MS Word, Excel preferred, and paper work as needed.

Must have a Florida State Driver’s License with “safe driver” classification.

Bilingual in English and Spanish and/or English and Creole preferred.
