Located in San Luis Obispo’s beautiful Historic Downtown District, studio 2G Architects is looking for an Architectural Associate to provide support in preparation of schematic design, design development, construction documents and drafting details under the supervision of an Architect, Project Manager or Job Captain..
studio 2G was founded in 2005 by Heidi Gibson and Laura Gough and specializes in Civic, Federal, Commercial, Residential, and Hospitality Architectural design with an emphasis on sustainability. Key Duties and Details:
- Assists the Job Captain, Project Managers and Architects on projects.
- Generates revisions and corrections from redlined drawings and project document sets.
- Develops 3D renderings and presentations for Schematic Design Packages.
- Develops ADA plans, with the support of Job Captain.
- Develops Code Analysis with the support of a Job Captain.
- Assists the Job Captain in creating Construction Documents for permit submissions.
- Prepares and checks as-built drawings.
- Works closely with Team members and assists to complete projects on aggressive schedules by meeting deadlines within expected time and budget constraints.
- Spends at least one hour a week developing project templates, standards, etc. for office efficiency efficiency.
- Efficiency level expectation is 90%.
Qualifications:
- Full-time entry-level position, with a minimum of 1-5 years of experience and a Bachelor degree in Architecture.
- Proficient in Revit/BIM. Understanding of VectorWorks is preferred with candidates working efficiently in the program.
- Proficiency in 3D rendering software required.
- Ability to handle a fast-paced environment.
- Must have a good work ethic, both independently and in a collaborative team environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Positive Attitude - Go Getter.
- Detail Oriented.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Good organizational skills.
- Proficient with G-Suite and G-Sheets.
- Ability to sit or stand for the duration of shift.
- Eligibility to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship.
Job Type:
Full-time (40 hours per week with flexible scheduling)
Pay Range:
$26-$32 per hour Depending on Experience level.
