Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of residential or commercial spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces to uphold high standards of cleanliness.
- Conduct routine janitorial tasks such as trash removal, restocking supplies, and restroom sanitation to ensure a hygienic environment.
- Operate floor care equipment like buffers and polishers to maintain pristine flooring conditions.
- Assist with light maintenance duties including minor repairs, painting touch-ups, and troubleshooting basic facilities issues.
- Support industrial cleaning projects when needed, utilizing appropriate cleaning agents and equipment for large-scale or specialized tasks.
- Maintain safety protocols during all cleaning and maintenance activities to prevent accidents or hazards.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all areas are consistently clean, safe, and welcoming for residents or visitors.
Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Housekeeper/Porter to join our condominium team. This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the property's common areas and assisting with physically demanding tasks throughout the building.
Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain all common areas, including lobbies, hallways, elevators, stairwells, and restrooms.
- Collect and dispose of trash from designated areas.
- Operate and maintain garbage chute rooms and compactors.
- Move dumpsters and trash bins as needed.
- Perform pressure washing and other exterior cleaning duties.
- Assist with moving furniture, equipment, and supplies.
- Report maintenance or safety concerns to management.
- Perform other housekeeping and porter duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping, porter, janitorial, or maintenance experience preferred.
- Ability to safely lift and carry up to 75 pounds on a regular basis.
- Ability to push and pull heavy dumpsters, garbage bins, and equipment.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb stairs, and perform physically demanding work throughout an 8-hour shift.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
Schedule
- Full-Time
- Monday–Friday (weekend availability as needed)
- Alternating Saturdays (one week yes, one week no)
