Responsibilities
- Provide daily care and supervision for dogs, cats, and other small animals housed in the kennel facility
- Assist with pet boarding, feeding, administering medications, and ensuring proper animal restraint techniques
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels, cages, and common areas through regular sanitization and cleaning routines
- Handle animals safely during intake, check-out, grooming, or veterinary procedures using animal handling best practices
- Support pet grooming, pet sitting, and outdoor exercise activities to promote animal well-being
- Monitor animal behavior closely to identify signs of stress or illness and report concerns promptly
- Assist with team lifting tasks to safely move heavy supplies or large animals as needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience is a MUST
- Knowledge of kennel operations and animal handling techniques is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members
