Quality Engineer
Strong opportunity to grow into Director of Quality
At Trident, Quality is not a department.
Quality is how we run our business.
We are looking for an exceptional Quality Engineer who wants to build a career, not simply maintain a quality system. This role is designed for someone who can grow into our Director of Quality over time.
We manufacture highly regulated medical devices where quality is critical, but we also believe great quality professionals spend as much time solving problems on the manufacturing floor as they do behind a computer.
If your passion is simply maintaining documentation, this is probably not the right opportunity.
If your passion is building better processes, eliminating problems, improving products and leading people, we'd love to talk.
What You'll Do
- Drive root cause investigations using structured problem solving tools.
- Lead CAPAs that permanently eliminate recurring issues.
- Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing and Operations to improve quality, productivity and customer satisfaction.
- Support ISO 13485 compliance, internal audits, customer audits and regulatory inspections.
- Analyze quality data and identify trends before they become problems.
- Develop practical quality systems that improve the business instead of slowing it down.
- Spend significant time on the manufacturing floor working directly with operators, engineers and leadership.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field.
- Experience in medical device manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of ISO 13485 and regulated manufacturing environments.
- Experience with root cause analysis, CAPA, nonconformances and risk management.
- Excellent communication and leadership potential.
Most importantly, we're looking for someone with the right mindset.
Someone who:
- Has high energy.
- Creates urgency.
- Doesn't walk past problems.
- Loves solving difficult challenges.
- Thinks like an owner.
- Is coachable and wants continuous improvement.
- Wants to become a leader.
Our Culture
We admire the discipline and problem solving culture found in world class automotive manufacturing.
We believe problems should be attacked immediately, root causes identified, permanent corrective actions implemented and standards continuously improved.
We're looking for someone who shares that mindset while understanding the unique regulatory requirements of medical device manufacturing.
Why Trident?
This is not just another Quality Engineer position.
You'll work directly with executive leadership, help shape the future of our quality organization and have a clear path to becoming our future Director of Quality.
If you're looking for a place where your ideas matter, your work has purpose and your career can grow, we'd like to meet you.
