Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical systems, HVAC units, refrigeration equipment, and kitchen appliances to ensure optimal operation.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems using schematics and technical manuals; diagnose issues accurately and efficiently.
- Install, maintain, and repair various appliances including refrigeration units, HVAC systems, air conditioning units, and kitchen equipment.
- Operate company vehicles safely to transport tools, parts, or equipment as needed across different sites.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to facilitate repairs and installations.
- Conduct emergency repairs promptly to minimize operational disruptions; document all maintenance activities thoroughly.
- Collaborate with team members to lead maintenance projects and support operational improvements with construction experience when necessary.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a service technician with strong appliance repair skills; familiarity with HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) systems is essential.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to repair mechanical systems and understand schematics effectively.
- Hands-on experience with appliance installation and maintenance in commercial or industrial settings.
- Knowledge of HVAC system repair including air conditioning units and refrigeration equipment.
- Ability to operate equipment repair tools safely and efficiently; experience with maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) practices preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Construction experience is a plus for supporting larger projects or facility upgrades.
- Valid driver’s license with experience operating company vehicles; commitment to safety standards at all times.
- Leadership qualities that enable guiding junior team members or assisting in training efforts are highly valued.
