In this position, you’ll work 37.5 hours per week with an elementary student caseload, addressing diverse needs in a school setting. There is flexibility for the right candidate, as both on-site and virtual Social Worker options are considered.
Key Qualifications:
- Current NM SSW License, LBSW, LMSW, or LCSW required
- Experience with elementary-aged children preferred
- Skills in providing individualized support and consultation to students, parents, and staff
- Ability to assess student needs and implement appropriate interventions
- Comfort with collaboration and communication in a school setting
- Proficiency with technology for virtual service delivery (if applicable)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with students, their families, teachers, and administrators to remove barriers to learning
- Provide counseling and intervention for students facing social, emotional, or familial challenges
- Develop strategies and support plans tailored to each student's unique situation
- Consult with school personnel to support positive educational outcomes
- Contribute to multidisciplinary teams about students’ needs and progress
- Maintain accurate records and comply with all relevant confidentiality and documentation standards
