We are looking for positive, hard working, dependable individuals to join our dietary team! Our ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, a focus on the task at hand and the ability to complete job duties in a quick and productive manner.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate food preparation and meal service
- Plan and initiate cooking schedule
- Prepare, season, cook assigned meals with high nutritive value, flavor, color, texture, and appearance following standardized recipes.
- Ensures appropriate portioned servings for resident dietary requirements.
- Prepare all food in accordance with dietary restrictions and/or modifications for each resident.
- Prepare nutritional snacks for residents as directed by the Food Service Director
- Taste and smell prepared food to determine quality and palatability
- Monitor temperature of hot and cold foods through food preparation and service to ensure that established temperature goals are met and maintained throughout meal service.
Check and inspect food product and supplies as delivered at direction of Food Service Director
- Notify Food Service Director of food, supply or equipment needs
- Clean equipment and work areas
- Attend in-service educational programs
- Supervise dietary aides
- Follow defined safety codes while performing all duties
- Participate in creating home like environment and excellent dining experiences
- Provide constructive ideas and solutions to providing excellent dining experience for residents
- Control waste and identify appropriate use of leftovers
- Protect the confidentiality of residents
- Perform other duties as assigned by The Food Service Director.

Pay: Up to $18.00 per hour
