D.M. Bowman, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Diesel Mechanic/Technician to join our team at our maintenance shop located in Somerset, PA. Our Company is a regional transportation and logistics, founded in 1959. Work hours would be Sunday-Thursday, 4:00 am-1:30 pm.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance on diesel engines, heavy-duty trucks, and trailers.
- Show knowledge of truck and trailer electrical systems and be able to trouble shoot problems.
- Repair trailer bodies, undercarriage and doors.
- Know truck and trailer air systems, valves, and their functions.
- Handle equipment problems on the road, use call in sheet, vendor master and vendor books.
- Show and maintain high quality workmanship to eliminate rework.
- Be able to do complete brake jobs, replace seals in transmissions, and rears. Also, be able to replace u-joints wheel seals and suspension system parts.
- Must be able to operate and maintain product conveying equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Experienced Diesel Technicians are required to provide their own tools.
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
