Leviosa Motor Shades (www.leviosashades.com) is an internet company that sells window coverings commanded by Home Automation. These systems control many devices, including Leviosa Motor Shades, growing 2X every year to keep pace with demand.
We are now expanding our fabrications operations to the Charlotte, NC area. With this expansion, we are hiring to support increased production.
Job Summary:
The Associate will work in our production area running equipment used in the manufacture of motorized window shades. The work is moderately paced with safety of workers and quality of product being top priorities. No previous manufacturing experience is needed as training will be provided on the job.
We currently have a single shift operation. The shifts are 8 hours, Monday-Friday. The indoor working space is heated and cooled. This is a high growth industry where you can build your skills and increase your compensation level. Ample promotion opportunities for motivated associates, including management roles.
Main Tasks:
Production
- Read and interpret product blueprints
- Complete daily order/shipping target
- Utilize tools such as measuring tapes, fabric cutters, saws, scissors
- Assist production schedule optimization
- Stock materials in warehouse
- Communicate with & delegate tasks amongst fellow team members
- Maintain clean work spaces
- Complete scheduled weekly progressive maintenance checks & work orders as assigned by the supervisor
- Comply with all Leviosa and OSHA safety regulations and systems in and around machine
Quality
- Complete all quality checks within the defined time and frequency
- Assess all finished product against appropriate standards
- Monitor internal scrap and rework
- Exhibit diligence in damage prevention
Education and Training:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Excellent opportunity for new college graduates
- Requires skill in the use of basic hand, shop, and power tools
- Ability to read and interpret product drawings and work orders
- Ability to perform basic length measurements
Experience:
- Employer will provide on-the-job training for specific machinery
