American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position in Elizabethtown, KY, requiring BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, ENPC, and TNCC certifications on an evening/weekend schedule.

Works in a hospital Emergency Department providing urgent and emergency medical care

Evening shift, 11a–11p, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hrs/week)

Weekend-heavy schedule: some positions require Friday, Saturday, and Sunday availability; at least one position requires weekend and holiday coverage

13-week contract

Active, unrestricted KY or compact RN license required

Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, ENPC, and TNCC

Minimum education: ADN or ASN; BSN preferred

Previous nursing experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessment, care planning, patient and family education, discharge coordination, and quality improvement participation

Nursing practice is evidence-based and incorporates all four phases of the nursing process with clinical autonomy within scope of practice

Collaborates with an inter-professional care team including case management and other disciplines

Considers patient culture, age, and developmental level in all aspects of care delivery
