Solids Control Technician
Location: ROTATING in WTX or UTAH & COLORADO
Schedule: 4 Weeks On / 2 Weeks Off (Rotational)
Shift: Rotating Days & Nights
Hours: 13 Hours per Day
Pay: Pay Depending on Experience
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Solids Control Technician to join our oilfield operations team. This is a rotational position working 4 weeks on and 2 weeks off, with long shifts and rotating day/night schedules.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with solids control equipment in drilling operations and be comfortable working in demanding field environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain solids control equipment including shale shakers, centrifuges, desanders, desilters, and related systems
- Monitor drilling fluid systems and ensure optimal performance
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on equipment
- Ensure proper setup and rig-down of solids control systems
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Accurately complete daily reports and communicate with supervisors and rig personnel
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
Requirements
- Previous oilfield experience working with solids control equipment (required)
- Valid driver’s license (required)
- Ability to work rotating day and night shifts
- Ability to work 12.5–13 hour shifts for extended rotations
- Physically capable of working in outdoor oilfield environments
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to travel
