Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Warehouse Receiver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and processing incoming shipments to ensure seamless warehouse operations. Your expertise will help maintain optimal inventory levels, support order fulfillment, and uphold safety and quality standards across the distribution center. Duties
- Receive incoming shipments using RF scanners and warehouse management systems, verifying shipment contents against purchase orders and delivery documentation
- Inspect goods for damage, discrepancies, or quality issues, documenting findings thoroughly
- Unload trucks safely using equipment such as pallet jacks, reach trucks, or forklifts in compliance with safety protocols
- Accurately enter data into inventory management software and ERP systems like AS400 or MRP platforms to update stock levels
- Organize and stock received items in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper labeling and storage for easy retrieval
- Collaborate with shipping & receiving teams to coordinate outbound shipments and support order picking & packing processes
- Maintain detailed records of all inbound shipments, discrepancies, and inspection results to ensure compliance with trade regulations and company policies
Skills
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management software, and ERP platforms such as AS400 or MRP systems
- Strong knowledge of shipping logistics, order fulfillment, and international trade regulations
- Experience operating warehouse equipment including reach trucks, pallet jacks, forklifts, and RF scanners
- Excellent data entry skills coupled with basic math abilities for inventory calculations and documentation accuracy
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as load & unload operations, stocking, picking & packing throughout the warehouse environment
- Customer service mindset to effectively communicate with team members and support internal stakeholders
- Familiarity with warehouse operations best practices related to E-commerce distribution, packaging standards, and trade compliance
