In partnership with Hacienda La Puente Unified School District
Responsible for overseeing the delivery of a broad range of IN PERSON programs and services to all ASES after-school participants. Plan, develop and implement program activities with particular focus on (1) homework help, tutoring, reading or study skills (2) educational enrichment, (3) physical education activities. Staff will follow and implement program schedule on a daily basis. At HLPUSD school locations.
Example of Duties:
· Help children with Homework
· Develop daily activity plans for enrichment and physical activities
· Plan, Supervise and Facilitate Physical Education Activities
· Plan, Supervise and Facilitate Enrichment Activities
· Supervise a group of 20 students (Elementary, Middle and K-8 schools)
· Implement discipline techniques and classroom management
· Ensure all youth are properly supervised and encouraged to participate in activities
· Record and submit daily attendance records of participants
Condition of Employment and Benefits:
This is a 10 month part-time seasonal, non-benefited, non-exempt position with an hourly rate ranging from $17.50-$19.00 per hour DOE from (Summer and School Year). This position requires the candidate to be available for work Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday from 2:00-6:00p.m. and Thursdays 1:30pm for school year and 12:30-5:30p.m. for summer. Staff meetings will be held as needed with advanced notice given to staff.
Minimum qualifications:
- High School Diploma and a minimum of 48 College Units
- Official College Transcripts
- Health Screening/TB Clearance and COVID vaccination card
- Background and Fingerprint Clearance
- Must have some experience in working with school age children in an organized setting.
- First Aid & CPR Certification may be required in the event in-person programming resumes.'
