Job Summary
The Village of Deerfield Beach Assisted Living Facility seeking a dedicated and energetic Housekeeper to join our team and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort in residential settings. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a pristine environment by performing a variety of cleaning tasks, managing laundry, and providing exceptional customer service to clients. Your attention to detail, efficiency, and positive attitude will contribute to creating welcoming and hygienic spaces for our valued residents.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of all residential areas, including dusting, surface cleaning, floor care, and carpet cleaning using appropriate cleaning equipment and detergents.
- Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures to ensure a safe and healthy environment in accordance with established standards.
- Manage laundry duties efficiently, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and clothing items.
- Maintain cleanliness of floors through sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and specialized floor care techniques.
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of furniture or supplies while adhering to proper manual handling protocols.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their specific needs and provide excellent customer service throughout each visit.
- Ensure all cleaning surfaces are sanitized regularly and that janitorial equipment is maintained in good working order.
- Support outdoor work activities when required, such as patio or garden cleaning.
- Demonstrate strong time management skills to complete tasks promptly while maintaining high quality standards.
Skills
- Proven experience in residential cleaning or housekeeping management with janitorial or custodial background preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures including sanitation, surface cleaning, floor maintenance, carpet cleaning, and outdoor work experience.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, steam cleaners, and other tools used in commercial or residential settings.
- Ability to handle cleaning detergents safely and effectively while following safety protocols.
- Strong manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy objects safely.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients and team members.
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently across multiple properties or assignments.
- Experience in laundry operations and surface dusting techniques.
- Knowledge of outdoor work requirements related to residential environments.
