JOB
Under the supervision of the Crossing Guard Supervisor with oversight from the Public Safety Department, the crossing guard assists school-age children to cross the street to and from school safely.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
- Provides great customer service by greeting and escorting pedestrians, primarily children, across the street at designated intersections throughout the City.

Communicates traffic and crossing rules and other information to students and adults.

Observes and reports incidents, unsafe behavior or conditions that present a potential safety hazard to the school children, Crossing Guard or the general public, to school officials or the Adult Crossing Guard Supervisor.

Performs other related work as required.
