Duties
- Assist with the fabrication and assembly of custom wood projects, including cabinetry, furniture, and fixtures
- Support skilled artisans in measuring, cutting, sanding, and finishing wood components using hand tools and power tools
- Learn to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure precise craftsmanship
- Help with installation tasks such as door hanging, fixture installation, and siding application on various projects
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times
- Support site preparation activities including heavy lifting, material handling, and layout setup
- Participate in restoration projects involving water damage remediation, mold remediation, or structural repairs
Qualifications
- Enthusiastic about learning carpentry and woodworking techniques in a professional studio environment
- Basic familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and construction materials preferred but not required
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to follow instructions carefully and work safely on construction sites or workshop settings
- Prior experience in construction estimating, framing, trim carpentry, or remodeling is a plus but not mandatory
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods during project work
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude toward teamwork and skill development
