Frontier Door & Cabinet is looking for a detail-driven Receiver to join our team. In this role, you'll be the first line of accuracy for the materials that keep our production floor running — from cabinet components and sheet goods to hardware, lumber, and door material. If a shipment is wrong, damaged, or mislabeled, you're the one who catches it before it becomes a bigger problem down the line.
This is primarily a cabinet-focused role, but door material still moves through our facility and matters just as much when it does. You'll need the judgment to handle both with the same level of care.
-
Receive, inspect, and verify cabinet, casework, and door-related materials — including melamine, laminates, plywood, lumber, hardware, and finished panels — against purchase orders and packing slips
-
Catch discrepancies before they reach production: wrong finishes, incorrect dimensions, damaged goods, missing components, or mismatched hardware
-
Protect finish-sensitive and moisture-sensitive material from weather, handling damage, and improper storage
-
Label, stage, and system-process materials so they're accurately tracked from dock to final location
-
Communicate shortages, damages, and holds clearly and quickly to purchasing, production, inventory, and shipping teams
-
Make sound, fast decisions on receiving, holding, or escalating material — without needing to be told twice
-
Keep receiving areas clean, organized, and safe
-
Experience in warehouse, receiving, inventory, or production support (cabinet, millwork, hardware, lumber, or door material experience is a plus)
-
Sharp attention to detail — comfortable telling apart similar-looking materials by spec, finish, or size
-
Ability to read purchase orders, packing slips, and vendor documentation
-
Basic ERP, inventory, or barcode/warehouse system experience
-
Forklift experience preferred, or willingness to get certified
-
Strong communication skills and comfort working across departments
-
Ability to work in warehouse, dock, and yard conditions, including changing weather
-
Ability to lift, carry, and move material throughout a shift, per company safety guidelines
Small receiving mistakes — a wrong slide length, a mismatched finish, a missed door jamb — can stall production and delay customer commitments. We're looking for someone who takes ownership of that responsibility: someone who moves fast, but never at the expense of accuracy.
