Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, hands-on experience with various vehicle systems, and a commitment to delivering high-quality automotive repair and maintenance services. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse range of vehicles, including GM models, and to utilize advanced diagnostic tools and repair techniques. Candidates with dealership experience and expertise in automotive electrical systems are highly preferred. The position requires a proactive approach to vehicle troubleshooting, repairs, and customer service, ensuring customer satisfaction and safety.
Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on vehicles using automotive diagnostics tools and schematics to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems including powertrain, transmissions, suspension, steering, brakes, shocks & struts, tires, alignment, and oil changes.
- Repair or replace automotive electrical systems, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), and auto body components as needed.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized maintenance tools to execute repairs efficiently.
- Service diesel engines and perform air brake repairs for commercial vehicles when required.
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to facilitate precise repairs on complex systems such as auto electrical wiring and powertrain components.
- Perform vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met and document repair work for customer reports or auto estimating purposes.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs needed and ensuring customer satisfaction with the service provided.
Experience
- Proven dealership or automotive repair shop experience is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, mechanical components, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, and tire services.
- Experience working with Audi vehicles or similar brands is a plus.
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostics software and schematics for troubleshooting complex issues.
- Hands-on experience with diesel engine repair, auto body repair, welding, and auto estimating is advantageous.
- Ability to perform maintenance tasks such as oil changes, alignments, shocks & struts replacement, wheel balancing, and general vehicle servicing.
- Prior experience working with power tools and hand tools in an automotive setting is essential.
- Excellent mechanical knowledge combined with customer service skills ensures effective communication with clients regarding repairs and maintenance needs. Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour
