Responsibilities
- Lead the development of comprehensive architectural designs, including detailed construction drawings and construction detail documentation, utilizing CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and ArchiCAD.
- Manage project schedules effectively, coordinating with clients, consultants, and contractors to meet deadlines and budget constraints.
- Utilize building information modeling (BIM) tools like NavisWorks and Rhino 3D to create accurate 3D models and renderings that visualize design concepts.
- Conduct building code analysis and ensure all designs comply with local building regulations, accessibility standards, and sustainability principles.
- Prepare construction estimating and budgeting documents to support project proposals and cost management efforts.
- Oversee the production of construction accessibility regulations documentation, ensuring projects meet all regulatory requirements for inclusive design.
- Collaborate on business development initiatives by preparing compelling presentations using Adobe Creative Suite and engaging in client negotiations.
- Coordinate construction management activities, including site visits, progress monitoring, and resolving on-site issues with contractors.
- Develop sustainable design strategies that incorporate energy efficiency, eco-friendly materials, and innovative building techniques.
- Produce high-quality renderings and visualizations for client presentations using 3ds Max, Grasshopper 3D, SketchUp, Sketch, Revit, and other graphic design software.
Experience
- Proven experience as an architect with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in architectural design, construction documentation, and project management across diverse project types including renovation and interior design.
- Extensive knowledge of construction estimating, budgeting, project scheduling, and construction management processes.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD; BIM tools like NavisWorks; 3D modeling programs including Rhino 3D and Grasshopper; rendering software; and Adobe Creative Suite for graphic presentations.
- Hands-on experience with building code analysis, regulatory compliance (including accessibility standards), and sustainable design practices.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects from concept through completion while maintaining high standards of quality and attention to detail.
- Strong negotiation skills complemented by excellent communication abilities to liaise effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, and team members.
