CFS has partnered with a mission-driven organization that makes a meaningful impact both locally and globally. Our client is seeking an Accounting Manager to support the financial operations of their philanthropic and donor-advised fund programs.

Support the day-to-day accounting operations.

Review and post journal entries, reconcile accounts, and maintain the integrity of the general ledger.

Assist with month-end and year-end close activities, including preparation of adjusting and closing entries.

Manage reporting related to donor-advised funds, endowments, assets under management, and other philanthropic programs.

Review contribution and disbursement activity, including wire transfers and fund distributions.

Partner with internal stakeholders to provide financial analysis and ad hoc reporting.

Coordinate audit requests and assist with annual external audit activities.

Review donor reporting and account statements for accuracy.

Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve operational efficiency.

Provide guidance and oversight to team members, with future responsibility for direct reports.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably within nonprofit, financial services, or fund accounting environments.

Previous supervisory, lead, or mentoring experience is preferred.

Experience with donor-advised funds, endowments, or charitable giving programs is a plus.

Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.

Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Excellent attention to detail, analytical abilities, and organizational skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and manage multiple priorities.
