Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages with precision, including tea, boba and specialty drinks, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
- Operate POS systems such as Toast and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Provide friendly, attentive customer service by greeting guests, taking orders, and answering questions about menu items.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food handling stations, beverage prep zones, and seating areas, adhering to food safety standards.
- Handle cash transactions with accuracy, process payments using POS systems, and give correct change.
- Restock supplies regularly to ensure the café is fully equipped for busy periods.
- Follow food safety protocols during food preparation and beverage service to ensure a safe environment for all guests.
- Assist in food preparation tasks when needed, supporting overall café operations with a positive attitude.
- Manage time effectively during busy hours to serve customers promptly while maintaining high-quality standards.
Experience
- Previous barista experience or food service background is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn!
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast or Micros POS is advantageous.
- Experience in retail sales transactions, cash handling, and cashiering is beneficial.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures is important for maintaining hygiene standards.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and warmly with diverse guests.
- Basic math skills for processing cash transactions accurately and managing retail math calculations.
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while managing time effectively.
- A positive attitude with a passion for coffee culture and creating memorable guest experiences is essential!
