Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head Housekeeper to lead and manage our housekeeping operations with enthusiasm and precision. In this vital role, you will oversee the cleanliness, organization, and overall maintenance of our facilities, ensuring a pristine environment that exceeds guest and staff expectations. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise housekeeping staff, providing clear direction, training, and motivation to maintain high standards of cleanliness and service.
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules, protocols, and quality control procedures to ensure consistent excellence across all areas.
- Oversee daily cleaning operations, including industrial cleaning tasks, laundry management, and custodial duties in both guest-facing and back-of-house environments.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, health standards, and environmental policies to create a safe working environment for all team members.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment maintenance, and procurement processes to support efficient operations.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to monitor cleanliness levels, address deficiencies promptly, and uphold brand or organizational standards.
- Foster a positive team environment by promoting teamwork, professional development, and open communication among staff.
Requirements
- Proven experience in housekeeping management within hospitality or commercial cleaning environments.
- Strong background in cleaning techniques including industrial cleaning, janitorial services, laundry operations, and custodial work.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience supervising teams and managing staff performance effectively.
- Knowledge of safety regulations related to cleaning chemicals, equipment use, and workplace safety protocols.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to develop schedules, manage inventories, and oversee multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with management, staff, and external vendors.
- Previous experience in hotel or hospitality settings is essential.
