Dispatcher Trainer / Instructor – Facilities & ConstructionPosition Summary
We are seeking an experienced Dispatcher Trainer / Instructor with a background in facilities maintenance, construction, or facilities management to train and develop dispatchers on effective service coordination, scheduling, customer communication, and trade knowledge.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience as a dispatcher, service coordinator, facilities manager, operations manager, or similar role and understands both field operations and dispatch processes, including experience working in international or multinational environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver training for new and existing dispatchers.
- Train dispatchers on commercial maintenance, construction, and common building trades.
- Teach proper intake, troubleshooting questions, prioritization, scheduling, and technician/vendor assignment.
- Train dispatchers to identify the appropriate trade, skill set, and resources required for a job.
- Teach effective customer, technician, and vendor communication.
- Train dispatchers on work-order documentation, follow-up, and escalation procedures.
- Teach basic understanding of scopes of work, estimates, proposals, invoices, and service reports.
- Train dispatchers to identify missing scope, additional work opportunities, and potential revenue that may be left on the table.
- Develop practical scenarios, role-playing exercises, and competency assessments.
- Coach dispatchers and identify areas for ongoing improvement.
- Train employees on CMMS, CRM, scheduling, and other operational technologies, including AI tools where applicable.
- Apply international facilities management, construction, and dispatch experience to training programs and operational best practices.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in facilities maintenance, construction, dispatch, service coordination, or related operations.
- International or multinational work experience strongly preferred.
- Broad knowledge of commercial building trades, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and general maintenance.
- Previous training, mentoring, or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical employees.
- Comfortable working with technology, CMMS/work-order systems, and AI tools.
- Ability to work effectively with teams across different countries, cultures, and time zones.

The successful candidate will be a strong communicator, practical problem-solver, and natural coach who can improve dispatcher accuracy, efficiency, customer service, and revenue protection across diverse operating environments.
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
