Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Assistant Manager to join our retail team and drive store success through effective leadership, exceptional customer service, and operational excellence. Duties
- Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to company policies.
- Lead and supervise team members, providing coaching, training, and development to enhance performance and customer service standards.
- Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, and merchandising to maximize sales opportunities and maintain an attractive store presentation.
- Support recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing candidates and onboarding new employees.
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints efficiently, and ensure a positive shopping experience for all patrons.
- Oversee cash handling procedures, POS transactions, payroll processing, and bookkeeping tasks with accuracy.
- Coordinate shift schedules, manage sales goals, and monitor retail math metrics to meet or exceed store targets.
Qualifications
- Prior Kitchen experience is required!
- Proven experience in retail management or assistant management roles with supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages; bilingual abilities are a plus.
- Demonstrated proficiency in inventory management, POS systems, cashiering, and merchandising techniques.
- Knowledge of retail math, pricing strategies, sales management, and budgeting principles.
- Experience with recruiting, interviewing, employee orientation, training & development programs.
- Ability to handle cash handling procedures accurately while maintaining high customer service standards.
- Organizational skills with attention to detail in stock control, inventory audits, and administrative tasks.
