BrightStar Care is hiring an caregiver for a one-on-one client case in SW Portland, OR.
The client requires support with brain injury-related behaviors, along with assistance with light household tasks and errands around town.
Important Location Requirement
Applicants must live in SW Portland or the immediate surrounding area as schedule consistency required for this case.
Schedule
- Shifts Monday-Wednesday, Friday-Saturday (7A-7P) with the ability to cover open shifts throughout week
- Additional flexible shifts may be available

Job Responsibilities
- Mask required for the entire shift
- Support a client with brain injury-related behaviors
- Provide care during shifts and assist with open shift coverage as needed
- Use verbal redirection and strong communication skills
- Full transfer assistance using safety sling, hospital bed, and wheelchair
- Medication administration
- Running errands around town
- Provide dependable companionship and support
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of caregiving experience
- Experience with behavioral clients is required
- Reliable transportation and dependable vehicle
- CPR certification or willingness to obtain certification
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Authorized to work in the United States
Mileage reimbursement may be available if using your own vehicle, or you may be able to use the client’s vehicle for transportation.
