We're hiring an Assistant Manager to support daily operations at our flagship Recess location in the Lower Highlands neighborhood of Denver.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in hospitality, leads by example, and enjoys being part of the action. From supporting staff and delivering exceptional guest experiences to helping establish operational systems and team culture, you'll be instrumental in the success of our team.
As our company continues to grow, this position offers meaningful opportunities to contribute to a new store opening, take on increased responsibility, and advance into future leadership roles within the organization.
What You'll Do
- Lead and support service shifts in a high-volume environment
- Help maintain smooth service flow and exceptional guest experiences
- Coach, support, and communicate with team members throughout each shift
- Assist with opening and closing procedures
- Support cash handling and daily operational responsibilities
- Monitor service standards, cleanliness, and overall guest satisfaction
- Step in wherever needed to support the team and business
- Help identify opportunities to improve operations, efficiency, and team performance
- Collaborate with ownership and leadership on ongoing growth initiatives
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of restaurant, bar, or hospitality leadership experience
- Proven ability to lead high-volume shifts and support team performance
- Strong floor presence and a guest-first mindset
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to remain calm, focused, and decisive during busy service periods
- Sound judgment and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated with a positive, team-oriented attitude
- Comfortable balancing multiple priorities and responsibilities
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Reliable transportation

Compensation & Benefits
Pay Range: $30–$35 hourly, depending on experience, qualifications, and leadership background.

Additional Compensation Information
- This position is hourly.
- Discretionary performance-based bonuses may be available based on individual and/or company performance. Bonus opportunities are not guaranteed and may vary from year to year.
