HVAC Residential & Light Commercial Service Technician to diagnose, service, repair, and maintain heating and cooling systems. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, safety-minded, and experienced with a wide range of HVAC equipment in residential and light commercial settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain residential and light commercial HVAC systems
- Service equipment including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, boilers, mini-splits, and rooftop units
- Perform routine maintenance and system inspections
- Identify repair vs. replacement needs and clearly explain options to customers
- Complete work orders, service reports, and documentation accurately and timely
- Follow all safety procedures, codes, and company policies
- Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicle in clean and working condition
- Provide professional, courteous customer service at all times
- Participate in on-call rotation as required
Qualifications
- Minimum 2–5 years HVAC service experience (residential and/or light commercial)
- EPA Section 608 Certification (required)
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals
- Experience with gas, electric, and refrigeration systems
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Skills & Abilities
- NATE Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience with rooftop units and light commercial systems
- Familiarity with smart thermostats and modern control systems
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Work may be performed indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Requires standing, bending, climbing, lifting (up to 75lbs), and working in confined spaces
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required
