We are seeking a highly capable Masonry Estimating & Operations specialist to join our team. Someone who blends estimating, bidding, operations coordination, and client communication, with a strong attention to detail and a thorough understanding of masonry construction.
This role is ideal for someone who can support preconstruction through project execution, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and profitable results.
Key Responsibilities
Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for masonry and concrete elements
Prepare accurate project cost estimates and bids using Tradesmen and Bluebeam
Review plans, specifications, and addendums to identify scope, exclusions, and potential risks
Assist with market analysis and identify the types of projects Waibel Masonry should pursue
Track upcoming projects and opportunities with general contractors
Set up new jobs, budgets, and project documentation after award
Order and coordinate materials and submittals to maintain project schedules
Review field photos, daily logs, and job progress reports
Support field teams in resolving project issues and clarifications
Process and track RFIs, ASIs, revisions, and change orders
Monitor project costs and maintain profitability
Client & GC Relationship Management
Build and maintain relationships with general contractors and clients
Gather intelligence on upcoming projects and bid opportunities
Represent Waibel Masonry professionally in all communications
Support proactive bidding and business development efforts
Experience in masonry construction or commercial construction estimating
Strong understanding of masonry systems, materials, and installation processes
Proficiency with Tradesmen and Bluebeam (or willingness to learn quickly)
Strong Excel skills for cost tracking, reporting, and budgeting
Ability to read and interpret construction plans accurately
Experience with bidding, takeoffs, or project coordination
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work proactively in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment
