Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service as they order coffee, beverages, and food items.
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and light snacks with precision and care.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process orders accurately and efficiently.
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and food handling with integrity, ensuring proper cash management and register accuracy.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food preparation stations, counters, and seating areas in accordance with food safety standards.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining quality standards.
- Upsell products to increase sales opportunities while providing friendly assistance to customers with their selections.
Requirements
- Previous barista experience or familiarity with coffee preparation techniques is highly preferred.
- Experience using POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and perform basic math calculations confidently.
- Knowledge of food safety practices, proper food handling, and food preparation standards.
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours without sacrificing quality or service speed.
- Basic understanding of retail math for cash handling, sales tracking, and inventory awareness.
