Dartmouth Health is looking for full-time Supervisor in Respiratory care who want to work in a fast-paced critical care environment with a high degree of autonomy using a multitude of respiratory driven protocols. Responsibilities
- Ensures that quality of care provided by staff meets standards by direct observation and individual instruction. Provides direct feedback to staff, including development of improvement plans.
- Supervises the daily operations of the department and personnel. Assigns and oversees work assignments.
- Coordinates and provides instruction of staff, students, nurse, and medical residents in respiratory care theory and practice. Develops in-service programs in conjunction with the administrative director.
- Participates in leadership meetings with the administrative and medical directors. Leads small group meetings and inter-shift report. Assists in conflict resolution between staff and disciplines.
- Acts as a consultant for staff RCPs, RNs, and MDs regarding patient assessment and care plan development.
- Participates in the development of post hospitalization discharge planning for patients with high-level respiratory care needs.
- Utilizes competency in all specific areas of practice including adults, pediatrics, and neonatal respiratory care.
- Evaluates and discusses new products and equipment with staff and sales representatives. Arranges for equipment in-services.
- Keeps abreast of new developments in the field.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience required.
Bachelor’s degree and supervisory experience preferred.

- Licensed Respiratory Care Practioner in NH. - Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) upon hire. - (ACLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support upon hire. - (PALS) Pediatric Advanced Life Support upon hire. - (NRP) Neonatal Resuscitation Provider upon hire.
