Looking for a workplace that feels more human and less corporate?
At Essential Speech & ABA – Prosper, we're a small, locally owned early intervention center where kids come first -not productivity quotas.
We specialize in working with children ages 18 months to 6 years and intentionally keep our center small (just 12 clients in the entire building) because we believe quality care starts with having the time and support to actually provide it.
Think less corporate machine and more small clinical team where people actually know your name. Our size means collaboration is easy, communication is direct, and you're never just another person on the schedule.
Our therapy is naturalistic, play-based, and relationship-driven. We focus on building communication, independence, flexibility, and self-advocacy through meaningful interactions - not sitting at a table running drills all day.
Around here, RBTs are respected medical providers, trusted collaborators, and an essential part of every child's progress.
Prequest Requirements
Before starting this adventure, you'll need:
✅ Current RBT certification through the BACB
✅ Passion for working with young children
✅ A collaborative mindset and willingness to grow
Why You'll Love Working Here
Small Caseload, Big Impact
We intentionally cap our center at 12 clients so therapy stays individualized and clinicians don't feel like they're speed-running burnout.
Play Is the Plan
Our sessions are built around connection, motivation, and play. Whether you're building blanket forts, narrating dinosaur adventures, or celebrating a child's first spontaneous request, you'll be making meaningful moments happen every day.
The Ultimate Crossover Episode
Collaborate daily with BCBAs, SLPs, OTs, and fellow RBTs because the best outcomes happen when everyone works together.
Level Up
Receive consistent supervision, mentorship, continuing education, and opportunities to strengthen your clinical skills- not just your list of responsibilities.
Leadership That's Actually...Present
Our Clinical Director works alongside the team - not hidden behind an office door or three layers of management. Questions are encouraged, support is expected, and feedback goes both ways.
Your Main Quest
Direct Therapy
- Provide 1:1 ABA therapy following individualized treatment plans developed by a BCBA.
- Teach communication, social, play, adaptive, and daily living skills through engaging, naturalistic instruction.
- Implement behavior support strategies with compassion, consistency, and respect.
- Collect accurate data and complete daily session documentation (the paperwork side quest).
- Assist with assessments under BCBA supervision.
Collaboration
- Communicate regularly with BCBAs and teammates to provide high-quality care.
- Participate in team meetings and apply feedback thoughtfully.
- Build positive, professional relationships with families.
Keep the Play Space Adventure-Ready
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe therapy environment.
- Follow HIPAA and ethical guidelines.
- Show up every day with patience, creativity, flexibility, and your full attention.
Continue Your Character Development
- Ongoing supervision and mentorship from the Clinical Director.
- Monthly continuing education opportunities.
- Bi-annual goal setting and performance reviews focused on meaningful growth-not gotchas.
Why This Role Matters
ABA is hard work-but it shouldn't feel like survival mode.
We built this clinic because we believe great therapy starts with clinicians who are supported, trusted, and given the time to do meaningful work. We care more about quality than quotas, progress than perfection, and relationships over rigid programming.
If you're looking for a clinic where leadership is approachable, play has purpose, and your ideas are actually heard (wild concept, we know), we'd love to meet you.
Bonus points if you can commit to an Oscar-worthy reading of Pete the Cat, know at least three dinosaur facts, or have ever gotten emotionally invested in an episode of Bluey.
