BEPC is actively seeking a Machinist III in the Plano, TX area!
W2 Contract: 6 months with possible extensions
Pay Rate: $24.00–$27.89/hr, based on experience
Shift: Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM–2:30 PM

The Machinist III will program, set up, operate, inspect, and troubleshoot CNC and manual machining equipment to manufacture precision components according to engineering and quality specifications. This position is ideal for an experienced machinist who can work independently and has strong CNC programming, blueprint reading, and precision measurement skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Program CNC machines using CamWorks and SolidWorks.
- Utilize Mastercam or GibbsCAM experience; CamWorks training can be provided.
- Perform light G-code editing and make machine-side program adjustments.
- Set up and operate CNC mills, CNC lathes, manual lathes, and related equipment.
- Select tooling and establish work/tool offsets, feeds, and speeds.
- Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, engineering specifications, and GD&T.
- Inspect finished and in-process parts using micrometers, calipers, pin gauges, indicators, and other precision instruments.
- Troubleshoot machining, tooling, equipment, and quality issues.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and basic repairs.
- Work with various metals and understand material-specific machining requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training preferred.
- 5+ years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
- CNC programming experience using CAM software.
- Experience with CamWorks/SolidWorks, Mastercam, or GibbsCAM.
- Working knowledge of G-code and machine-side editing.
- Experience setting up and operating CNC and manual machining equipment.
- Strong knowledge of tooling, feeds, speeds, offsets, and machining processes.
- Ability to read blueprints, CAD drawings, and GD&T.
- Proficiency with precision measuring and inspection equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced CNC programming experience.
- Multi-axis machining experience.
- Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience.
- Experience working directly with suppliers or outside vendors.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the workday.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working around moving machinery, manufacturing noise, and metalworking fluids.
