About CrossOver Healthcare Ministry
CrossOver Healthcare Ministry provides compassionate, high-quality healthcare to the uninsured and medically underserved in our local community through the operation of two medical clinics: one in the City of Richmond and one in Henrico County. CrossOver is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that offers comprehensive healthcare services to its patients. We do not receive direct federal funding or have access to federally funded prescription drug programs. CrossOver relies on the generosity of our volunteers, donors, and community partners to sustain our mission.
Mission
At CrossOver Healthcare Ministry, we believe that healthcare is foundational. When a person is not healthy, they may have difficulty maintaining employment, taking care of their family, and living a fulfilling life. Through our two healthcare clinics, we serve over 6,600 low-income, uninsured and Medicaid patients each year, providing primary and specialty care, chronic disease management, medication and medications management, dental, eye care, pediatrics, mental health counseling, women’s health & OB/GYN, HIV/AIDS diagnosis and treatment, case management, and health education We don't turn away patients based on inability to pay and rely on volunteers and philanthropic support to provide services. For over 40 years, CrossOver has worked to create a healthy, vibrant community where every person is restored by the compassionate, healing love of God. We are called to provide health care, promote wellness, and connect community talents and resources with people in need in the name of Jesus Christ.

Position/Title: Part Time Pediatrician: Maternal and Child Health
Supervisor: Medical Director, Maternal Child Health
Status: Part Time, 12 hours a week, Exempt

Work Location: Henrico Clinic @ 8600 Quioccasin Rd, Henrico, VA 23229
Position Summary: The part time pediatrician provides direct patient care to pediatric patients and supports the development of policies and protocols for our newly expanded pediatric program which will provide care to newborns and up for the first time in late 2026.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Development and review of clinical policies and protocols for the pediatric program with a focus on newborn up to 3 years of age;
- Provide direct patient care in the Pediatrics Department;
- Work with MCH Medical Director to review pediatric program data and outcomes;
- Identify and implement strategies to increase efficiency on the clinical floor;
- Provide support to volunteer pediatric providers as needed during clinical shifts;
- Ensure timely review and follow up for pediatric labs and imaging;
- Provide support to and oversite of pediatric residents from community training programs such as VCU and St. Francis Family Practice;
- Collaborate with obstetric and family practice providers in providing dyad care for parents of pediatric patients
Minimum Qualifications
- MD/DO in Pediatrics or Family Medicine with applicable pediatric experience
- Relevant clinical experience in outpatient pediatric primary care settings
- Experience and skill in using electronic medical records
- Commitment to providing culturally sensitive care and ability to work with different ethnic groups, especially African American, Hispanic, and Middle Eastern
- Commitment to the Mission and Values of CrossOver
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
- Experience in a Safety Net setting
