We are looking for temp and part time energetic and reliable individuals to join our team as Cafeteria, Catering, Food Service Summer Help. Possible Duties
- Assist with food preparation, plating, and presentation to ensure quality standards are met for catering and cafeteria services.
- Support catering events by setting up, serving, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness throughout service.
- Handle food safely by following proper handling procedures and maintaining hygiene standards in accordance with food safety regulations.
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems to process transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Provide friendly guest service by answering questions about menu items, dietary options, and event details.
- Help with general kitchen duties such as bussing tables, restocking supplies, and maintaining a clean work environment.
- Support the team during busy periods by assisting with food delivery, setup, and breakdown of catering or cafeteria stations.
Skills
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key!
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests and team members.
- Knowledge of food handling safety practices and food preparation techniques.
- Experience with banquet or catering services is a plus; familiarity with fine dining or hotel environments is beneficial.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of POS systems and cash handling procedures.
- A proactive attitude towards teamwork, cleanliness, and ensuring a welcoming environment for all guests.
